Ellen Kong is the founder and chairman of iPR Ogilvy & Mather and is responsible for the overall management and operations, as well as the strategic planning of the Company.
She has rich experience in financial communications and has held senior positions in renowned international and local public relations consultancy firms.
She had also served as an Officer at the Public Affairs Department of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd.
Ellen has extensive knowledge of the financial sector and has advised her clients in hundreds of successful flotation communications projects in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States. In addition, she has coordinated a wide range of other financial assignments, such as investor roadshows, spokesperson coaching, mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, company repositioning, company launches, as well as management of issues and crises.
Raised and educated in Hong Kong, Ellen has an in-depth understanding about the practices of the local capital market. As a graduate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Ellen is an accomplished linguist fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and French.
Callis Lau is the Managing Director of iPR Ogilvy & Mather, specializing in corporate positioning, investor and media relations management, business development and crisis management. Capitalizing on her professional background as a Company Secretary, Callis has developed thorough know-how of business operation, as well as extensive and comprehensive experience in the communications sector during her employment with local and international public relations firms. Therefore, she has developed a keen sense of the capital market’s needs and is able to help position the clients precisely in their markets through public relations campaigns for various industries. The communications programs resulted in positive public images of the client companies and facilitated investment in them.
Well versed in media and investor relations consultancy, Callis is competent in servicing enterprises in sectors and industries as diverse as retail trade, real estate development and manufacturing.
Callis is well-experienced in coordinating initial public offering for Chinese enterprises and has participated in the communications of a number of listings on the main board and GEM Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
Prior to joining iPR Ogilvy & Mather, Callis was a Consultant at Hill and Knowlton, where she handled day-to-day account management and implemented financial relations and PR programs for a number of Hong Kong listed companies. She had also been a Consultant at Strategic Financial Relations, specializing in IPO communications projects.
Before embarking on a career in the public relations field, Callis was an Executive Assistant in Balama Prima Holdings Company Limited and acted as an Assistant General Manager in Administration in C&C Technology Ltd, one of the subsidiaries of Balama Prima.
Callis graduated from Ohio University with an Associate Degree in Communications. She has obtained a Certificate in Company Secretaries and Administrator from the Chaiwan Technical Institute and a Diploma in Company Secretaries and Administrator from the Hong Kong Polytechnic respectively. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Tina Law is a Director of iPR Ogilvy & Mather and has contributed to the successful listing of over 40 companies on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) and the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. She is particularly good at initial public offering projects and post-IPO investor and media relations activities for China-based civilian-owned companies. Her professional advices on PR strategies, media handling, investor relations and crisis management earn her clients’ trust, with some of the partnerships lasting for a decade.
She has gained in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in such industries as energy and resources, property, consumer and retail, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing from the IPO projects of China-based entities. She has been responsible for a number of large-scale main-board listing projects.
Prior to joining iPR Ogilvy & Mather, Tina was a Marketing Executive of a China-based trading company. She has rich experience in product advertising and promotion activities throughout China.
Tina obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Japanese Studies from the University of Hong Kong. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese.
Gary Li is a Director in the Financial Communications team, responsible for client servicing as well as investor and media relations consultancy. He has a solid track record in serving clients in different sectors including consumer, property, industrial and financial institutions.
Prior to joining iPR Ogilvy & Mather, he was the Director of Hill+Knowlton Strategies for seven years and worked on a number of IPO projects and various retainer clients. Before that, he worked as a Senior Consultant in iPR Ogilvy & Mather between 1999 and 2005.
With extensive knowledge and strong connections in the financial community, Gary is able to manage investor and media relations and financial communication programs for corporate clients.
Gary graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing. He speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Lorraine is a veteran journalist with extensive knowledge of different industries and financial markets.
Prior to joining iPR Ogilvy, she served as Asia Technology Reporter at the world’s leading newspaper The Wall Street Journal, writing breaking news of Apple’s supply chain, Alibaba and the latest industry trends in the region from 2007-2015. Her scoops were widely picked up by other major international media.
She has deep knowledge of the Greater China market as she was stationed in Hong Kong, Taiwan and had done various in-depth news reports in China.
She also has good connections in investment and media communities as she was a financial reporter at Hong Kong Economic Times, covering the hottest mega IPO deals, including those of ICBC, China Construction Bank and Bank of China when the Hong Kong stock market rose to a new high in 2006. Before that, she was a banking and regulator reporter at Ming Pao Daily News.
Lorraine is currently engaging in serving clients including Fosun International (0656), Hengan International(1044), BYD (1211), BYD Electronic (0285), New World Development (0017), A-Living (3319), China Renaissance (1911), Li Ning(2331), 361 Degrees (1361), Lifestyle International (1212), Kaisa (1638), Kaisa Prosperity (2168), Embry Form (1388) and accounting and advisory firm Grant Thornton, etc. She has been the core media relations team member of Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon since 2017.
In addition, she led and accomplished a successful media and communications project for technology startup Tink Labs (Handy) regarding the new funding provided by Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou, Sinovation Ventures Founder Kai-Fu Lee and Meitu Chairman Cai Wensheng. She also participated in the communications of a number of Main Board listings, including A-Living (3319) and FIT Hon Teng (6088).
Lorraine received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communications with First-Class Honours from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Edward Lai joined iPR Ogilvy & Mather in May 2000. An experienced communications practitioner with a solid background in developing and managing a variety of strategic brand building, publicity, marketing communications and media relations programs for a range of local as well as international corporations, Edward has during his tenure with the company counseled and served established technology, corporate and consumer businesses, government organizations, NGOs and utility companies.
Edward has played a key and driving role in managing some of the biggest communications programs for iPR Ogilvy & Mather’s major clients, including AMD, CLP Power, Cisco, EMC, Schneider Electric, Smartone, The Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR Government and Yahoo Hong Kong.
With 15 years of public relations, communications and marketing experience, Edward has established very strong relations with local Hong Kong and regional media and is highly-regarded by clients, work-associates and colleagues for his counsel, creativity, project and event management skills.
Edward graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Professional Accountancy. He speaks Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
